Alpha Hospital Woking is looking for a suitable candidate to provide a comprehensive and efficient Mental Health Act and administrative service, helping to ensure the Hospitals compliance with the Act and to provide a caring and effective service to patients, relatives, health professionals and staff at all times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day administration of the Mental Health Act for the hospital to ensure that patients are informed of their rights under the Act and ensure that the Responsible Medical Officer and clinical staff are kept informed of relevant expiry and consent to treatment dates.
They will also arrange Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers Hearings and be responsible for liaising with the Mental Health Act Commission and assisting in making arrangements for their visits to the hospital.
The above duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake duties as directed by the Hospital Director that are within the competence of the post holder and compatible with the expectations of the post.
