Alpha Hospitals Sheffield is also seeking to recruit Mental Health Act Managers (Hospital
Managers). Hospital managers are volunteers who have statutory powers and responsibilities to protect the rights of detained service users and to hear appeals against and renewal of sections under the Mental Health Act 1983. Hospital
Managers are expected to attend meetings as and when required and always during working hours. Expenses will be offered. Suitable training
will be provided.
