On 28th July 2004 Alpha Hospitals opened a new service for Young People at Alpha Hospital Woking. The Young Persons Unit provides acute and high dependency beds for young people suffering from acute mental illness. The service is lead by Dr James Oldham, Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.
Chief Executive Officer Patricia Hodgkinson said We are delighted that this new service is now operational. Our aim is to work as an integrated partner with CAMHS Teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment to enable them to move into lower levels of care as quickly as possible
